Where and when is Midland Teen Court held?

Midland Teen Court is held on scheduled Monday evenings  at 5:00 p.m. in the Midland County Courthouse, 200 W. Wall. All participants enter through the west basement entrance (on Colorado St.).

Youth with non-traffic cases to be heard that evening meet with their teen attorney after check-in to go over the facts and circumstances of the case. (Some teen attorneys may contact their defendants prior to the court date.) A local judge presides over that courtroom.

Youth with traffic offenses will appear before a master jury where the jurors question the defendants about the facts of their case directly from the jury box. Local attorneys, acting as judges, preside over the master jury courtroom.

Jurors in both courts are youth, either serving as volunteers or attending court to complete their Teen Court requirements.
